Handmade Icon of Saint George
Characteristics
Description
We present to you a handmade icon of Saint George the Great Martyr and Victory-Bearer – a symbol of courage, faith, and protection. This icon is an artistic reproduction of a medieval Orthodox icon, masterfully crafted from pure copper sheet and set in an elegant wooden frame.
Saint George is one of the most venerated saints and the patron of the Bulgarian people, of soldiers, farmers, and shepherds. His feast day – May 6th – is celebrated as the Day of Bravery and of the Bulgarian Army. An icon bearing his image brings protection, strength, and spiritual light into the home. It is also a meaningful gift for a name day, birthday, wedding, christening, or as a gesture of respect towards business partners. The icon symbolizes courage and a fighting spirit, guards against evil, and brings blessing.
Each piece is unique and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The icon is not classified as a cultural monument, which allows for its free export outside the country. Upon request, it can be personalized with an inscription of a prayer or dedication on the reverse side, through our additional laser engraving service.
